Lloyd K. Kraft, 59 of Erie, MI, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 3, 2013 in Special Tree NeuroCare Center, Romulus, MI. Born June 13, 1954 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Ralph L. and Eleanor R. (Peinert) Kraft. He was a 1972 graduate of Mason Consolidated Schools, he then served in the US Air Force. Lloyd was a retired auto mechanic and raced Sprint cars. He was active in the Weak Signals Radio Control Flying Club and a member and trustee for Erie United Methodist Church in Erie, MI. Lloyd loved helping people in need and was especially gifted in working with his hands.
Surviving are his loving parents, Ralph and Eleanor Kraft. Sisters, Sheila D. Burrington and Brenda L. Hershberger. Wife, Debra Kraft. Nephews, Benjamin Hershberger and Jim Burrington. Nieces, Christi Burrington and Heather Bishop.
Visitation will be from 3-9 Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI., where Pastor Roy Southerland will conduct a prayer service Monday at 7:00 pm. Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 am in Erie United Methodist Church, 1100 East Samaria Rd., Erie, MI, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Erie Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
